Lake Placid Native Frannie Chillemi to Speak at SFSC Graduation, Begins Teaching Career in Highlands
Francesca 'Frannie' Chillemi from Lake Placid, Florida, will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Teacher Education from South Florida State College (SFSC) on May 7, 2024. The graduation will take place during the spring Commencement ceremony at the Alan Jay Wildstein Center for the Performing Arts on the Highlands Campus in Avon Park, where Chillemi will also be the student speaker. Her interest in teaching began in high school, influenced by her teacher and cross country coach, Marne Black.
