Lackawanna County expects to borrow $11 million to cover its bills for the rest of the year
SCRANTON, Pa. — Lackawanna County introduced plans Wednesday to borrow $11 million to make sure the government has enough money to pay its bills through the end of the year. The deal, which uses the county Redevelopment Authority as a pass-through, is expected to come up before the county commissioners for a final vote later this month. If passed, it should be completed in November, officials said.
