NEPTUNE CITY - Woodrow Wilson 7th grader Harini Murali joins four other New Jersey students in Scripps National Spelling Bee's 2024 competition, the 96th annual such competition. Along with Aditya Mohan of Somerset, Olivia Rhee of Fort Lee, Kavya Jakasania of Jersey City and Mariam Belkouchi of Bloomfield, Murali will begin embarking next week in the first four segments of competition: the Preliminaries. Spellers who advance past the Preliminaries will then compete in the Quarterfinals, and then Semifinals and Finals. Harani Murali is no stranger to academic competition, having represented New Jersey in the National History Day competition in 2023 as well as the Scripps Bee in 2021 and 2022. A time of hope and transition -- for graduates and St. Peter’s University | Faith Matters
Nine days shy of my 50th anniversary graduating from then-St. Peter’s College, I along with about eight classmates were honored at the 133rd commencement of now-St. Peter’s University on Friday at the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel. Around 700 graduates received diplomas, almost equally divided between undergraduates and graduates including Ph.D.’s, making it the largest total ever.
