Pedestrian, 66, fatally struck by car in Washtenaw County
WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – A 66-year-old man was killed Wednesday afternoon when he was struck by a car in Washtenaw County. Emergency crews responded around 2 p.m. Sept. 25 to a a crash near the intersection of Dexter-Ann Arbor Road and Wagner Road in Scio Township, confirmed Derrick Jackson, spokesperson for the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.

2 men plead guilty to assault during Ann Arbor crime spree
ANN ARBOR, MI – Two men have pleaded guilty to assault after an Ann Arbor crime spree roughly a year ago. Gabriel Escobar, 19, and Christian Benitez-Reyes, 23, both admitted to an added charge of assault less than murder during a hearing Sept. 19 before Washtenaw County Trial Court Judge Arianne Slay, according to court records. The plea comes after a sentence agreement with the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office, records noted.
