CLEVELAND -- In Ohio’s Statehouse, two legislators from the Cincinnati and Dayton areas are once again attempting to convince Major League Baseball to lift Pete Rose’s lifetime ban from baseball and make him eligible for induction to its Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. In 2004, after years of denial, Rose finally admitted he gambled on baseball as a player-manager for the Cincinnati Reds. He said he never bet on his team to lose.
