Ohio State appoints new dean and director of Ohio State Mansfield campus
The Ohio State University has selected Jason Opal as its next dean and director of The Ohio State University at Mansfield, effective Aug. 15. Opal is associate dean of graduate studies in the Faculty of Arts at McGill University, one of Canada's leading public research institutions. A scholar and historian of early America and infectious diseases, he is a professor in McGill's Department of History and Classics with 20 years of academic experience.
Loudonville makes three new hires in athletic department
Three new faces will be a part of the Loudonville athletic program going into the 2024-2025 academic/athletic school year. In a press release, the Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village School District introduced three new hires in the athletic department: Chad Spurlock as the athletic director; Daryl Young as the girls basketball head coach, and Ed Honabarger as the head football coach and Loudonville High School assistant principal.
