Telangana Floral Festival Batukamma Batukamma Uyyalo...
Last evening, I had the privilege of attending the Telugu Community Bathukamma celebrations at the Noblesville 4 H Grounds in Indiana. It was an event that not only brought together the vibrant spirit of our community but also stirred memories of my childhood in Telangana, where Batukamma was an integral part of our Sharad Navratri celebrations. Growing up, this festival was synonymous with visiting my ancestral village, Vattem, and celebrating with my large, extended family. The sounds, colors, and smells of the festival were woven into the fabric of my childhood, and experiencing it again here in Indiana brought a wave of nostalgia that was both comforting and joyful.
