Flights to Myrtle Beach coming to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport
AVOCA, Pa. — You will soon be able to fly to Myrtle Beach, SC, from Wilkes-Barre / Scranton International Airport. At a news conference Wednesday morning, officials from Breeze Airways and the airport announced that beginning June 20, 2024, nonstop flights to Myrtle Beach will begin taking off Thursdays and Sundays from the Scranton area.

Lake Ariel resident celebrates 109th birthday at Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center
"Bacon," said Stephanie Demeo, suggesting a reason her grandmother Frances Gagliardi has lived to celebrate reaching 109 years old. "She loves it." Gagliardi was feted by family and friends with cupcakes on her birthday, April 5, at Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center in Lake Ariel, where she has resided for the past 10 years. Two of her granddaughters, Stephanie Demeo and Christina Gagliardi, shared about her life.
