Kraftwich food truck has crossed the state from “end to end” for the last few years, making a name for its uniquely flavored artisan sandwiches at festivals, breweries and private events. Now, the business that brings fans a saltine encrusted pork schnitzel sandwich has opened its first brick and mortar, called Kraftwich Artisanal Eatery. They opened in late August in the Cobalt section of East Hampton, a small Connecticut community that rarely hosts anything involving a food truck. “It’s finally nice to have a small place in a different area not so familiar with us because they don’t have a lot of food truck events in this area,” said head chef James Brown, who owns the business with his wife, Kelly Brown. “It’s very exciting for us.” Their new space without wheels is a 900-square-foot location at 367 West High St. but their menu works to pack big flavor.
