City green lights waterfront renovations to host Harbor Towns ferries
Elizabeth City officials have given the green light to begin $2 million in waterfront renovations to accommodate the new Harbor Towns ferry system. City Council gave unanimous approval for project manager A.R. Chesson Construction to commence the engineering and permitting processes for the renovations at Monday night’s meeting. The Camden Board of Commissioners will hold a budget work session in the community room of the Camden Public Library today at 6 p.m. The Albemarle Commission Board of Delegates will meet at the commission office at 512 South Church St., Hertford, at 6 p.m. on Thursday. The Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Board of Education will hold committee meetings in the ECPPS administrative offices on Monday, May 20, at 5 p.m. The board’s regular meeting will be Tuesday, May 28, at 6 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at P.W.
