Big crowds attend Eastern Idaho State Fair during holiday weekend
BLACKFOOT — Mother Nature cooperated a bit more during the opening days of the 2024 Eastern Idaho State Fair for the Labor Day weekend than what was seen in 2023, resulting in good crowds going through the gates at the Blackfoot fairgrounds each day. Labor Day — typically one of the biggest days of the fair — in 2023 brought rainy weather, keeping the crowds down. The weekend this year has seen seasonable temperatures with only a threat of moderate rain arriving later in the day Monday. Large crowds have filled the grandstand for pari-mutuel racing and Indian relay races, bull riding, truck and tractor pulls, and pro rodeo action, with more large crowds expected for comedian Jeff Foxworthy Thursday night and classic rock band Journey taking the stage Friday night.
Broncos buck Week 1 jitters and defensive struggles to go 1-0
Just before Bronco Nation turns their eyes to the formidable Oregon Ducks, lets take one more look back at the Broncos first week 1 win since 2020. The Broncos were going against what some believed to be a weak Georgia Southern team, while others were stating that this was going to be more of a fight than many realize. It'll take a few more weeks to really see who was right, but going into this game, the Eagles were poised to have a powerful offense, and a Defense that had many questions (Sound familiar?). On a hot and humid day in Statesboro, Georgia, the Broncos and the Eagles kicked off their 2025 seasons with the most boring first play of all: a touchback kickoff.

Bear Lake Bears high school volleyball team wins first Cokeville Tournament in at least 25 years
The Bear Lake Bears volleyball team has made quite the impression as their season begins, clinching first place in the highly regarded Cokeville Tournament for the first time in 25 years. Bears head coach Stephanie Birch noted that it was likely during her senior year at Bear Lake High School in 1999 that the Bears last triumphed in the annual tournament held at Wyoming's Cokeville High School. “It’s been a...
