Prince George High’s Own Ana Conner Shines with Dual Degree and Advocacy Leadership
Ana Conner, an 18-year-old student at Prince George High School, is graduating fourth in her class of about 400 students. She will also receive an associate’s degree in biology with a minor in psychology from Richard Bland College of William & Mary. Conner is notable not only for her academic skills but also for her advocacy in women’s and children’s rights, influenced by her own experiences during her parents' custody dispute.
KIHS ensembles shine at Music in the Parks Festival
STEVENSVILLE — The Kent Island High School (KIHS) Symphonic Band and Chorus traveled to Virginia to explore Colonial Williamsburg and perform at the Music in the Parks festival at Busch Gardens on April 26-27. Both ensembles received Excellent ratings from adjudicators. KIHS also received the Esprit de Corps Award recognizing their exemplary attitude of positive support and outstanding personal behavior throughout the entire festival weekend.
