Meet Kiki: The Tiny 11lb Dog Looking For Love
Sandy Paws Rescue Inc., a dedicated foster-based rescue in Massachusetts, recently introduced an adorable and fluffy little dog named Kiki who is searching for her forever family. With all that floof on one little body, it's hard to believe but Kiki, who is about six years old, only weighs 11lbs! Described by the nonprofit local rescue as a cuddly poof who "is super playful with lots of other dogs," Kiki is sure to capture the heart of her special someone.
Early voting begins in Massachusetts
BOSTON — (WPRI) — Early voting in Massachusetts begins on Saturday, Oct. 19. This period for in-person voting runs until november first. Other dates to keep in mind, the Massachusetts voter registration deadline is Oct. 26, and the mail ballot deadline is on Oct. 29. This year’s general election is on Nov. 5.
Hudson First Responders assisted a woman in delivering her baby at home
On Wednesday, October 16, Hudson Fire and Police responded to a call of a woman going into labor at her home and assisted in the delivery of her baby. The call came in around 12:30 p.m., dispatchers Joe Fournier and Peter Ryan aided in giving proper medical directions over the phone as Hudson Fire, Police, and Patriot EMTs were dispatched to the home. “From Dispatcher Fournier’s calm and professional approach to this call, to the quick response of firefighters, police and paramedics, this call makes me proud of the entire team of first responders who used a combined effort to ensure this new family was okay despite the dramatic circumstances of the birth,” said Chief Jamie Desautels. “It’s refreshing to see such a positive outcome to a call in this line of work, where not all calls have such happy endings.” Officer Ron Mace, Fire Lt. Matthew LaBossiere, and Firefighters Richard Hubert and Johnthan Nemergut arrived first at the scene to find that the baby had already been delivered!
