One of Vermont’s historic covered bridges has fallen under threat from modern technology. Box truck drivers relying on GPS continually crash through Lyndon’s 140-year-old Miller’s Run bridge despite signs, including a flashing one, to deter vehicles that are too tall or too heavy from crossing. Drivers can face a fine of $5,000 from the town, plus state penalties.

Greensboro's 2023 Energy Efficiency Initiatives: Highlights and How You Can Get Involved
The Greensboro Energy Action Committee's 2023 report outlines key initiatives for energy efficiency in the community. The Greensboro Free Library got a $4,000 Municipal Energy Resilience Program (MERP) grant for energy efficiency education. Beth Meacham and Liz Steel led this. An energy audit was done at the Library to find areas to improve efficiency and weatherization.
Lancaster Residents Invited to Join Town Manager Search Committee: Submit Your Letter of Interest by March 13, 2024
The Select Board plans to appoint up to five Lancaster residents, including a town employee, to the Town Manager Search Screening Committee. The committee members should be hardworking, punctual, and able to work well with others. Their task will be to review applications for the Town Manager position, conduct interviews, and suggest three to five finalists to the Select Board.
