Rutgers running back Kyle Monangai was one shoe-string tackle away from taking his first carry the distance. The senior took a handoff from quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis, shot through a hole and hit the open field. A diving tackle by Howard’s Kenny Gallop Jr. got just enough of Monangai’s foot to bring him down and prevent the Rutgers star from taking his first carry 71 yards for a touchdown.
