This weekend marks the beginning of the 2024 cross-county season as runners are eager to compete and get a new year underway. N.J. is home to a plethora of historic trails that have hosted some of the state’s best and its time for NJ Advance Media to release it’s Top 10 courses ranking. Football: Colonia Routs North Hunterdon, 35-7

Conroy scores twice for Delaware Valley in win over South Plainfield - Football recap
Jimmy Conroy recorded a pair of touchdown runs as Delaware Valley stymied South Plainfield 21-0 in South Plainfield. Delaware Valley took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter with a 73-yard touchdown pass from Kelton Ibach to Eric Klemmer before Conroy’s four-yard run made it 14-0.

Gunfire erupts, cop injured in wealthy NJ neighborhood
RUMSON — Shots were fired early Friday morning in a Monmouth County neighborhood of multi-million-dollar homes. Police converged on Rumson Road near the intersection with Avenue of Two Rivers after sunrise, residents told the Asbury Park Press.
