The company that wanted to build a commercial solar farm in Marion County has paused its eight-year-long campaign. They may try again in the future, according to a notice filed with the Ohio Power Siting Board last week by Devan Flahive, attorney for Clean Shift Energy, the parent company of the proposed project.

Marion government offices to close for Memorial Day
Marion City departments will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. The Sanitation Department will not collect trash, recycling or yard waste that day. Residents who normally have sanitation service Monday should have their collections curbside by 7 a.m. Tuesday. Crews will collect trash for both Monday and Tuesday throughout the day Tuesday, with the possibility that part of Tuesday’s collection extended into Wednesday.
