The statewide archery deer hunting season begins Sept. 14, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division. Last year, 85,000 archery hunters harvested 55,000 deer. A group of 21 family members of drug abusers sued wholesale distributors of prescription medications for damages, arguing that "drug abusers who injured" them were addicted to prescription opioids.
