Exploring the Charm of Al Swedish Restaurant & Butik: A Must-Visit for Swedish Cuisine Enthusiasts
If you're ever in Door County and craving some authentic Swedish cuisine, you must visit Al Swedish Restaurant & Butik. I had the pleasure of dining here during a busy Memorial Day weekend. Despite the crowd, the wait was worth it, especially after a relaxing time at the nearby Sister Bay Beach. I highly recommend making a reservation to avoid the wait. The Swedish Pancake Special is a must-try; imagine fluffy pancakes served with meatballs, and for an added delight, top them with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. The eggs Benedict is another great choice if you're in the mood for something different. The restaurant's charming Swedish decor and the picturesque view of Sister Bay from the corner window booth added to the delightful experience. Not to forget, the service was impeccable, with our friendly waitress ensuring everything we requested was promptly provided. After your meal, don't miss out on visiting the adjacent gift shop, filled with intriguing items that are perfect for souvenirs. And yes, the goats grazing on the grass roof are as charming as they sound!
This is My Honest Review of Not Licked Yet Frozen Custard in Fish Creek
If you're looking for a delightful spot to enjoy some frozen treats while the kids burn off some energy, Not Licked Yet Frozen Custard in Fish Creek is a must-visit. The place is charmingly decorated with little dwarfs and offers a fantastic local cherry flavor that stands out from any other cherry ice cream I've tasted in the US. The atmosphere is just as sweet as their custard! There's a spacious playground that keeps the kids entertained, and the seating by the creek provides a serene spot to relax and enjoy your ice cream. They serve up classic flavors like vanilla, chocolate, and butter pecan, plus a unique flavor of the day that keeps things exciting. Although the frozen custard was good, I've had richer flavors elsewhere. However, the overall vibe of the place, from the playful setting to the relaxing creek-side seats, makes it a great spot for a family outing. The service is quick, which is a plus when you're eager to dig into a tasty banana strawberry split or a refreshing rootbeer float. While the playground is a hit with the younger crowd, the scenic view and the ducks add a nice touch of nature to your visit. Definitely a place to consider for a casual and fun day out!

Dive into the heart of Wisconsin's culinary scene with these three diverse restaurants, each providing a distinct flavor and atmosphere. If you're a fan of fresh seafood and cozy vibes, Kettle Black Fish Boil is a must-visit! The fish, caught daily, is served with minimal seasoning, allowing you to tailor it to your taste with pepper and butter. The highlight is watching the fish boil process, a tradition explained with passion by the staff. The meal comes with tasty sides like cornbread, coleslaw, and a sweet onion that truly tastes like candy. Although the cherry pie dessert was not my favorite, the overall experience was delightful, filled with warmth and great flavors.
