Driver receives medical transport after wreck
Last Friday morning at 7:30 a.m., the driver fell asleep driving this 2017 Ford F150 truck and lost control on Highway 307 in Athens, rolling over several times according to witnesses. The driver was transported to Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens by AMR. Responding to the scene were Niota Rural Fire, Englewood Rural Fire, Athens Police Department and McMinn County Sheriff’s Department. Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper James Dalton investigated the accident.
