Catch-and-keep trout fishing about to kick off across Missouri
MISSOURI, USA — Anglers are expected to flock to one of Missouri's trout parks soon as the catch-and-keep season opens back up. The season kicks off March 1 at 6:30 a.m., according to Missouri State Parks. Anglers can catch up to four trout a day at Roaring River State Park near Cassville, Bennett Spring State Park near Lebanon or Montauk State Park near Salem after they purchase a fishing permit and daily trout tag. The season runs through Oct. 31, after which the catch-and-release season will begin.
