Dayton H.S. Girls Lacrosse Team Concludes Successful Season
SPRINGFIELD, NJ -- The Dayton High School girls lacrosse team wrapped up the second season as a varsity program with a 14-5 record after losing to Rumson-Fair Haven last week in the first round of the NJSIAA South Jersey, Group 1 tournament. Junior Sara Kaesshaefer led Dayton with 53 goals and also had 20 assists, and junior Gianna Guensch totaled 52 goals and 17 assists. Sophomore Lauren O'Brien led the Bulldogs in assists with 28 and also scored 45 goals. Junior Sophie Lafferty finished with 23 goals and eight assists, and freshman Maya Smith scored 22 goals and was first on the team in groundballs with 48 and second in draw controls with 52.
