Miss Nebraska Morgan Baird to speak at WNCC commencement ceremony
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (May 1, 2024) - WNCC will confer 331 degrees, diplomas, and certificates at the 92nd Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 11. Morgan Baird, Miss Nebraska 2023, of Gering, will deliver this year's commencement address. Baird is a graduate of WNCC (Class of 2021) where she studied Social Science before transferring to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in May of 2023.

Mitchell Jr./Sr. High Bands Blow the Roof Off M.H.S.
Tuesday night, small town musicianship was on full display at Mitchell's annual Spring concert. The show was held in the gymnasium this year, (to the detriment of the acoustics) to better accommodate the standing room only crowd. Both Jr. and Sr. high bands blew the roof off the gym featuring several improvisational solos and were outstandingly conducted by Mr. Austin Sailors.
