Food pantry opens to SUNY Cobleskill students
SUNY Cobleskill students have access to an emergency food pantry that opened earlier this month. The pantry is in Bouck Hall and offers food, beverages, toiletries, and hygiene products that were gathered through SUNY funding and donations by the community.
Simplified Transfer Process from FLCC to HWS: A Boost for Local Education
Hobart and William Smith (HWS) and Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) have agreed to simplify the transfer process for FLCC students to HWS. The aim is to make the enrollment process easier and clarify which courses can be transferred. This annual award recognizes a middle or high school principal who has made a significant impact on their school's education quality and character. The selection process is thorough, with a seven-judge panel reviewing applications over several months.
Middleburgh Central Schools Announce Top Five Graduates of 2024
Middleburgh Central Schools has named the top five graduates of the Class of 2024. Tadhg Martin is the Valedictorian, followed by Salutatorian Liam Hooper. Quin Smith is the Honor Graduate, while Olivia Skowfoe and Sarah Schafroth have the fourth and fifth highest averages. Principal Matthew Sloan commended the students for their hard work and contributions to the school.

Schoharie’s CSD’s Teen Talk recently held its 3rd Career Speaker Seminar, with a presentation by NASA scientist Dr. Joseph Heyman. Dr. Heyman, a 40-year NASA veteran, discussed his work on various projects, including the wind tunnel collapse, the space shuttle disaster, and Viking 1's Mars mission. He also talked about his career progression at NASA.
