SUMMERS COUNTY W.Va. (Hinton News) - Summers County residents took to the polls on May 14 for the Primary Election. The results are in and here are the results for some of the most-watched races: In the race for Circuit Judge seat for Circuit 30 Division 1, Amy Mann emerged victorious with 34.9% of the vote. Charles Saunders secured victory in the Republican Primary for the Summers County Commission seat, garnering 53.9% of the vote. Jack Hellems clinched victory in the race for Summers Magistrate District 2, receiving 58.9% of the vote Lee Ann Goins secured a seat on the Hinton City Council, earning the trust and support of voters. The purposed Summers County School Levy failed by 59%. These results reflect the choices made by the voters of Summers County in the recent elections.
