On Tuesday afternoon, Derrick Stewart, age 20, received a ten year prison sentence for conspiracy to traffic firearms and trafficking firearms. According to Darkhorse Press, the investigation was opened when firearms recovered in Chicago, Illinois crimes were found to be purchased in the Northern district of Mississippi. Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives opened an investigation into the matter. The guns had been purchased very recently compared to when the crimes took place; in fact, some were purchased as recently as one day prior.

Valley of Jordan robbed at gunpoint last week
No injuries were reported after an armed robbery last Thursday at Valley of Jordan, a Middle Eastern grocer at 1009 E. 53rd St., Chicago police said.
