Tupelo Man Arrested on a DUI 4th Offense Warrant
A man from Tupelo was arrested on October 15th, 2024, in relation to a DUI case from earlier in 2024. Robert X. Watkins, age forty five, was arrested Tuesday on a Lee County Circuit Court Capias Warrant. The warrant was for 4th DUI or Subsequent Offense.
Tupelo Man Charged with Felony Fleeing
A Tupelo man has been arrested for felony fleeing after Tupelo Police tried to stop him near South Thomas and Cliff Gookin. The vehicle pulled into a parking lot, but then fled west on Cliff Gookin, according to Tupelo Police Department.

Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest for Man and Woman in Prentiss County
Prentiss County Deputy Ethan Hester made a traffic stop on October 3rd that led to an arrest of two people for drug possession. The traffic stop Deputy Hester conducted took place due to an expired tag and improper equipment. Deputy Jimmy Jarman and MDWFP Officer Lane Young assisted in the traffic stop, during which it was discovered that the driver and passenger were in possession of methamphetamine.
Running from police ends badly for two men
TUPELO – Two men who fled from Tupelo police are now facing felony charges. A Shannon man was riding a bicycle on Park Street without any lights just before midnight Friday, Oct. 11. When police tried to stop him, the man fled but was quickly detained. Officers say they discovered he had seven active misdemeanor warrants with Tupelo Municipal Court.
