Bluejays earn 5th straight win on the road against Titans
Coming off a record-setting Homecoming win is a tough task, but the Waseca Bluejays football team did just fine as it won on the road for its fifth straight win. The Bluejays traveled to Montgomery to take on the Tri-City United Titans Friday night. They scored their most points of the season against the Titans as they won with ease 42-7. The win against the Titans was the Bluejays' last road game of the season, as their last two games will be at home, starting with their game agains the Albert Lea Tigers on Friday night. Banks and Whipps crowned St. Peter Homecoming King and Queen
Prior to kickoff between the St. Peter and New Ulm football game, the St. Peter homecoming King and Queen were announced from the court candidates which included Gretta Baker, Iris Elias, Isabelle Mish, Emmy Remmert, Nora Whipps, Roblae Abdi, Luke Banks, Max Bultman, Quinn Dixon and Noah Kracht. The king selection came first with Luke Banks being crowned the 2024 homecoming King. Moments later, Nora Whipps was selected from the homecoming court as the 2024 homecoming Queen. The duo will retain the titles until next fall when the honors will be passed onto a next generation of Saints seniors.
Top runners for Panthers finish in 6th and 7th place at Waseca invite
The Gopher Conference NRHEG Panthers don’t usually see opponents in bigger conferences that often, but Thursday was an exception, as they competed at the Waseca Invitational at the Lakeside Golf Course. The Panthers’ cross country team competed against two schools from bigger cities that it usually does not face: Waseca and Faribault. The two schools placed in first and second in both the boys and girls races at the invite, but the Panthers still held their own as they had a runner in both races...
TCU cross country squads claim 3rd in Waseca Invite
Thursday evening, the Tri-City United cross country team made the trip to Waseca’s Lakeside Golf Course to compete an invitational hosted by Big South Conference foe Waseca. Both the boys and girls teams claimed third place finishes in the meet for the Titans. For the girls team, Yasmin Ruiz led the way with a time of 20:10.3 to claim fourth place followed by Kaylee Gogerty earning 20th with a time of 22:50.3.
