Square One to break ground on new old location for Springfield
SPRINGFIELD — Square One is scheduled to break ground on its $10 million project to build a new center to better serve the South End neighborhood on June 6. Local supporters, including businesses, nonprofit agencies and state legislators are expected to join the Square One staff and board of directors for the ceremony at the site at 947 Main St. The location is the same spot Square One operated a preschool before a tornado in 2011 destroyed its building.
