United dropped its second National Premier Soccer League game in as many tries on Friday night, falling 4-0 to Charlottetown Hops, which followed a May 11 1-0 setback against Hickory. The Bucks will see their schedule pick up in coming weeks, including playing a friendly on Wednesday at Tobacco Road in Durham. The Gnomes were right at home on Friday night. Playing their first-ever home game in Guy Smith Stadium, the Greenville Yard Gnomes claimed a 5-4 triumph over Tri-City to even its record at 1-1 in the Coastal Plain League. The Gnomes pounded out 10 hits to Tri-City's six and trimmed its four errors from opening night down to one on Friday. Joe Siervo had a pair of hits including a home run in the Greenville win.
