Northern Henrico homicide victim identified as 25-year-old Maryland man
The victim of a homicide in Northern Henrico has been identified as a 25-year-old Maryland man. Henrico Police found Timothy Dylan Farley dead inside of a vehicle in the Brook Run shopping center in the 5700 block of Brook Road Sept. 6 just before 4:30 p.m. Police responded following reports of gunshots. They believe Farley was shot on one side of the shopping center’s parking lot and ended up in the vehicle on the other side of the lot, according to WTVR CBS 6.
Fannett Metal Tigers Dominate in ICC Match Against Rockets
In a remarkable display of skill and teamwork, the The Tigers of Fannett Metal earned a huge ICC early season OT win over the Spartans of McConnellsburg on Friday night. The Tigers trailed 1-0 at half and were outplayed in the half and was glad they reached halftime down by only a goal. At half the Tigers made some adjustments and were challenged to come out and outplay their opponent from the start of the second half. The sense of urgency was evident by the Tigers getting a goal 6 minutes into the second half. Brycen Sites retrieved a loose ball in the box off a long throw in by Evan Wingert and shot a missile by their goalkeeper. This goal reunited the Tigers and sparked them to play with a lot of fire and energy. Tigers created a lot of scoring opportunities throughout the second half but couldn’t find the net. The defense of Broc Hostler, Even Wingert, Tucker Seibert, Finn McGee and goalkeeper Landon Arnold kept the Spartans in check all second half. The half ended in a 1-1 draw which led to OT. The Spartans started with the ball but soon the Tigers started on offense and went to work. Less then 4 minutes into OT Jake Coffman received a spot on pass from Jack Beaumont and took a dribble and shot near post past the Spartans goalie and sent the Tigers into a celebration with a hard-fought win against a very good Spartan team. The Tigers are 4-0 (ICC 2-0) and travel to Forbes Road on Monday for a 4:00 start. Tigers traveled to Three Springs, securing a decisive victory over the Southern Huntingdon Rockets in an Inter-County Conference soccer match. Demonstrating a strong offensive strategy from the start, the Tigers scored rapidly in the first half with a variety of players contributing to the scoreboard.
