CHARLOTTE — Ending its spring break on a high note Wednesday, the Richmond Senior High School baseball team got back in the win column. Playing their fourth game in six days as part of the Jack Sink Baseball Classic hosted by Myers Park High School, the Raiders defeated Caldwell Academy.

Local RichmondCC Nursing Student Payton Chappell Earns Prestigious Academic Excellence Award
Payton Chappell, a second-year nursing student from Rockingham, has received the 2024 Academic Excellence Award from Richmond Community College. This award is given to a student who has shown exceptional academic performance. Chappell, a 20-year-old Richmond County native, is due to graduate with her nursing degree in May 2024. She has expressed an interest in working in intensive care.
