Newark Teens Arrested After Attempted Burglarly of Union Home
UNION, NJ – Early Friday morning, a Union man confronted burglars as they were attempting to break into his home via the front door, Union police said.At just before 7 a.m., Union police received a 9-1-1 call from a resident, who lives off of Stuyvesant Avenue near the Essex County border, reporting that someone was trying to get into his home. Home Damaged in Gould Place Fire in Caldwell
CALDWELL, NJ – Firefighters from four towns battled a blaze on Gould Place in Caldwell for more than four hours from Thursday night into Friday morning.On Thursday evening at 10:53 p.m., the Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 32 Gould Place. Upon arrival, Chief Pollara reported heavy fire on the first floor in the rear of the home. Assisting them on the scene were the fire departments from West Caldwell, Essex Fells and Verona and the West Essex First Aid Squad.One person was transported to the hospital, but there is no report on the victim's condition.
