4 voters charged with intentionally voting twice in Michigan primary election
DETROIT (AP) — Four people intentionally voted twice in Michigan’s summer primary election, the state attorney general said Friday as she announced felony charges against the suburban Detroit residents as well as part-time employees accused of enabling it to happen. “It’s shocking and simply unheard of,” Attorney General Dana Nessel said. The charges in St. Clair Shores come a month before the general election in a high-stakes state coveted by presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris and where voter turnout is expected to be high. “What occurred here cannot be allowed to be repeated in November,” Nessel said. “As to election workers, it is imperative that all election staff, volunteers and assistant clerks abide by the laws of this state.”

Diamond Sports Group, the owner of Bally Sports Detroit and several other regional sports networks, told a US Bankruptcy Court on Wednesday (10/2) that it plans to continue broadcasting only one Major League Baseball team next year. At this point, Diamond plans to drop all MLB contracts except the Atlanta Braves.

(CBS DETROIT) — Stellantis has filed a lawsuit against the United Auto Workers union, which is continuing to fight over its 2023 bargaining agreement and the UAW's threat to strike.The lawsuit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court Central District of California, claims that the UAW "filed sham grievances designed to justify mid-contract strikes against Stellantis that otherwise would violate [the collective bargaining agreement's] no strike clause."
