Flyers boys tie with SJP
The Little Falls Flyers boys soccer team had a tough game against St. John’s Prep Tuesday, Sept. 24. Despite the Flyers controlling 90% of the flow of play, the game ended in a 1-1 tie. The Flyers scored first at 10:44 in the first half. Damian Ambriz kicked the ball across to Cayden Neisen who scored on a diving header. SJP’s Oskar Haberl scored his team’s only goal in the game on a breakaway at 8:20 in the second half. The Flyers outshot SJP 14-3. Flyers Goalie Isaac Bell made two saves out of three shots on frame. SJP’s goalie Breck Ritchner had a busy day at the net, making 13 saves on 14 shots on goal. The Flyers traveled to St. Cloud Cathedral Thursday, Sept. 26 and to Willmar Friday, Sept. 27.
