Brenau University Launches 'Brenau Promise' to Fully Fund Tuition for Eligible Local HOPE and Pell Recipients
Brenau University has introduced a new financial aid program called Brenau Promise, aimed at first-year students who receive HOPE and Pell grants. Starting in fall 2024, this program will cover the remaining tuition and the Institutional & Instructional development fee for eligible students after other scholarships and grants are applied.

Brenau University Honored for Empowering Local Girl Scouts Through Educational Workshops
Brenau University recently received the Community Service Award from the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia. The award, given on May 4, recognized the university for hosting educational workshops for local Girl Scouts. These workshops, called Girl Scout Saturdays, started in 2022 and offer hands-on learning in various fields.
NGTC Welcomes Local Educator Stephanie Benson as New VP of Academic Affairs
North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) in Clarkesville, GA, has appointed Stephanie Benson as the new Vice President of Academic Affairs, starting June 1, 2024. Benson, from Bowman, GA, previously served as the Executive Vice President of Workforce Development and Institutional Effectiveness at Roanoke-Chowan Community College in Hertford, NC. She joined Roanoke-Chowan in 2022 and has worked at Athens Technical College since 2005, where she was Vice President for Adult Education and Institutional Effectiveness. Benson holds a master’s degree in adult education from The University of Georgia, a bachelor’s degree in business management from Brenau University, and an associate of science degree in business from Athens Technical College.
