Maryland Construction Company Owner Sentenced for Wage Theft Scheme
Beltsville, Maryland resident Jose Walter Marquez Rivera, 43, was sentenced in Prince George’s County Circuit Court on charges related to a wage theft scheme valued at over $100,000. The owner of Congratulations Construction Inc., Marquez received a 90-day jail sentence, followed by five years of supervised probation. He was also ordered to pay $291,333.07 in restitution.
