VA | Discover This Cozy Spanish Tapas Spot That Won't Break the Bank!
Arlington finally has an authentic and affordable Spanish tapas place!! Discovered this spot on Columbia Pike over the weekend, and it perfectly fills the void left by the closure of Jaleo in Crystal City. ❤️ The menu is compact, but it's packed with Spanish classics like tomato soup 🍅, seafood rice 🥘, garlic prawns 🍤, churros 🍩, and croquettes. They even throw in some Mexican fusion, offering dishes like ceviche. ❤️ Great prices! Three hungry adults plus one big-appetite toddler ordered a table full of dishes, and the total came to just $110 before tip. At my old favorite, Del Mar, $110 would only get you a seafood rice for two 😲—this place is a steal by comparison. (P.S. Del Mar’s price hike is just outrageous, almost like the restaurant version of Chanel!) ❤️ The food is delicious. Take the seafood rice I ordered: while the ingredients weren't as fancy as those at Del Mar, it missed none of the essential components. It holds up well even when compared to places like Jaleo and Barcelona Wine Bar. It's strange, though, why such a high-value restaurant was so empty at 6 PM on a Sunday? 🧐 And during cherry blossom season in the bustling DC suburbs?? Worried they might close down, I'm recommending it to nearby friends who love tapas 🥲. Parking is right next door in the Giant supermarket garage, and you can get your ticket validated for free by the restaurant.
