Local CU-Lock Haven Students Gain Leadership Skills and Scholarships at NGLA Conference
Nine representatives from the Commonwealth University-Lock Haven Panhellenic Council and Interfraternity Council attended the 2024 Northeast Greek Leadership Association (NGLA) Conference in Hartford, Connecticut. The conference featured over 100 hours of sessions, including lectures on various topics and speeches by notable figures like Dr. Mari Ann Callais and Emily Hines.
CU's Criminal Justice Program Attracts NYS Trooper Recruitment: Opportunities for Mansfield, Bloomsburg and Lock Haven Residents
Commonwealth University (CU) and the New York State Police have strengthened their collaboration, thanks to CU's strong Criminal Justice program and its three locations in Mansfield, Bloomsburg, and Lock Haven. Trooper Rich Cunningham, based in New York State's southern tier, actively recruits from these locations.
Clinton County Launches Hope S. Mitchell Scholarship for Graduating Seniors
A scholarship has been set up in memory of Hope Mitchell, a respected member of the Clinton County community who died last April. The Clinton County Children and Youth, together with the Keystone Central Foundation, launched the scholarship to honor Mitchell's commitment to service. The Clinton County Housing Authority has also joined the effort to increase the scholarship fund, which has received many donations.
