Suspected drunk driver arrested in Harris County
HOUSTON, Texas - Deputies from Harris County Constable Precinct 4 arrested a suspected drunk driver on September 20, 2024.The traffic stop occurred in the 1600 block of Greenhouse Road, where deputies identified the driver as Kristian BarTee. BarTee displayed multiple signs of intoxication, according to a press release from Constable Mark Herman's office.A series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered, and it was determined that BarTee was intoxicated. "Kristian BarTee was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Her bond was set at $100 out of County Court 11," stated Constable Mark Herman.

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Here is a recap of incidents from September 24, 2024, involving Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Deputies. According to Constable Mark Herman, Deputies responded to the 19800 block of Kenswick Drive regarding a suspicious male. Upon their arrival, the male fled on foot into a nearby pond but was apprehended after a brief pursuit. The suspect, identified as Jordan Darby, a convicted felon, was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm and marijuana. Darby was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Evading Arrest. His total bond had not been set at the time.

Health officials announced on Friday morning that the first human case of the West Nile virus has been reported in Galveston County.Galveston County health officials said that the patient was taken to the hospital and is currently showing signs of improvement.Officials have begun spraying and trapping efforts for mosquitoes in the area to help prevent the spread of the disease.Three sentinel chickens in the county have also tested positive for West Nile.Authorities urge residents to do the following when it comes to mosquito safety:Using insect repellent containing DEET, picaridin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus.Wearing long-sleeved clothing and long pants, especially during peak mosquito activity hours.Get rid of any standing water around homes, where mosquitoes breed.Installing screens on windows and doors to keep mosquitoes out.
