Big 12 basketball transfer tracker: WVU’s 2024 opponents - May 21st update
The basketball offseason is upon us, which means the portal is open and players are entering at a record pace. As of May 21, there have been over 1,080 scholarship entrees, and 754 of them are already committed somewhere. Bench players are looking for more playing time, starters are jumping ship for more money, and mid-major standouts are looking to play at the next level. Sometimes that's hard to keep track of, so that's what these updates are for. Every week, we will be giving a snapshot of how the portal is treating all of the other Big 12 teams.
Where Things Stand: Wide Receivers
Camp season is right around the corner. As is official visit season. Things will kick off on May 30th, with the first day of camp but, more importantly, the arrival of official visits that evening for the weekend. By the time July 4th rolls around, West Virginia's recruiting situation could be wildly different. And I do mean wildly. New commits. New visitors. New offers. Thousands of campers. Twists. Turns. All of it. Before we get there, though, let's take a few minutes to break down the current situation and what fans should be paying attention to next month.
