New York State Thruway Announced Another Bridge Teardown
It looks like another bridge will be coming down that crosses over the New York State Thruway. This time the bridge is in Newburgh. Meadow Hill Road Bridge was erected in 1953. The New York State Thruway Authority says the bridge has reached the end of its service life. You may recall earlier this year that the Brookside Road Bridge in Ulster County was removed.
Danbury Fair Mall threat found non-credible, police investigating swatting call
DANBURY, Conn. — The Danbury Police Department determined a threat involving the Danbury Fair Mall to be non-credible and are investigating it as a swatting incident, according to police Sunday evening. At 4:30 p.m., police said officers went to the mall after receiving a report about a possible incident.

Putnam to Offer Free Rabies Vax in November
CARMEL, N.Y. —The Putnam County Department of Health is offering Putnam residents free rabies vaccinations on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m.-noon at Veterans Memorial Park (Upper Park): 201 Gipsy Trail Road, Carmel.Dogs, cats, and ferrets for a are eligible for a rabies vaccination.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTERBring a photo ID as proof of Putnam County residency, as well as proof of prior rabies vaccination. Cats and ferrets must be in carriers, top-loading carriers preferred, no harnesses.All animals must be supervised by an adult.
