Shadowbrook Resort sold, what happens next?
A developer is planning to turn Shadowbrook Resort near Tunkhannock into a retirement community. The resort in Wyoming County includes an 18-hole golf course, a bar and restaurant, as well as a hotel, and hosts weddings, birthday parties, baby showers and fundraisers. Workers at Shadowbrook are working with anyone who has an event scheduled after August 31st, when the resort plans to close, to help them find a new location. The golf course at Shadowbrook will remain open for the rest of the season, with officials saying that golf will continue as a part of the planned retirement community in Wyoming County.
