Jackets let upset win slip away late at Pauls Valley
Victory was imminent…until it wasn’t. Pauls Valley scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to spoil Kingfisher’s upset bid with a 43-40 victory at home. The Jackets led by 21 in the first half, 18 entering the fourth quarter and were still up 12 with less than half of the fourth quarter remaining.
Oklahoma goes back-to-back in Texas, wins Ben Hogan Collegiate at Colonial
The Sooners are off to a stellar start this fall. Oklahoma earned its second victory in eight days in the state of Texas, taking the top spot in the 2024 Ben Hogan Collegiate at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, site of the PGA Tour’s Charles Schwab Challenge. The Sooners, which won the Valero Texas Collegiate last week in San Antonio at another PGA Tour venue, topped rival Texas by four shots.
Oklahoma offers 2025 linebacker & Baylor commit Kaleb Burns
The class of 2025 felt almost wrapped up for the Oklahoma Sooners, that is until some recent movement kicked in. This now includes a new offer going out to a position of note. Kaleb Burns is a linebacker committed to Baylor in the '25 cycle, but he's recently seen plenty of traction pickup with other programs. Over the course of the last few weeks, Ole Miss, Memphis and Oregon have extended an offer to one of the Bears' most prized pledges. And according to Burns, there are several other schools that have expressed interest as of late. Add Oklahoma to that growing list as the Sooners sent a scholarship opportunity to Burns Tuesday afternoon.
