Learn About Medevac Careers: Black Hawk Helicopter and Kansas National Guard Presentation at Coffeyville Community College
Coffeyville Community College will host an event with the Kansas National Guard on Thursday, May 9th. At 10:00 AM, a Black Hawk helicopter is scheduled to land on the college campus, north of the student union and east of the residence halls. The event is aimed at providing practical learning for EMT and paramedic students, as well as local emergency services personnel.
Flags at half-staff Sunday
TOPEKA, Kan. — In accordance with Executive Order #20-30, Governor Laura Kelly directed flags throughout Kansas be flown at half-staff from sunup to sundown on Sunday, May 5, 2024, in recognition of National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Day and to honor Division Chief Martin Smith of the Dearing Fire Department in Montgomery County.
