Power outage at Smith County Elections Office not affecting early voting
TYLER, Texas — Officials say a power outage at the Smith County Elections Office and The Hub is not affecting voters Thursday. Electricity at The Hub, located at 304 E. Ferguson St. in Tyler, went out around 2:30 p.m., and all voting machines automatically kicked over to run off backup batteries as well as the computers in the Election’s Office, according to Smith County.
