NJ woman dies weeks after hit-and-run, police ask for public’s help
ABERDEEN — Law enforcement has asked for the public’s help, as the victim of a local hit and run early last month has now died. Aberdeen Police responded the evening of Sept. 4 to the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Second Street, where they found a 58-year-old pedestrian lying in the road.

Community Rallies to Save Freehold Raceway From Permanent Closure
The Oldest Racetrack In America Is Threatened in New Jersey. It is a landmark that is 171 years old. Freehold Raceway, which was originally built in 1853 is now under threat of closing. According to Wikipedia, "Freehold Raceway is a half-mile racetrack in Freehold Borough, New Jersey, and is the oldest racetrack in the United States, as well as being the oldest of the three horse racing venues located in New Jersey."

Jeremiah Montgomery ran for 106 yards and two touchdowns on just 10 carries as Neptune defeated Point Pleasant Beach, 47-13, in Neptune.
