Acushnet Police Chief Christopher Richmond Retiring After 30-Year Career
ACUSHNET (WBSM) — Police Chief Christopher Richmond will retire on September 6, ending a nearly 30-year career in town law enforcement. The retirement comes more than two months after he privately informed the town administrator and Board of Selectmen that he planned to leave. In a letter to town officials dated May 29, Richmond said "outside forces" have made the last several years "tumultuous."
