St. Peter girls basketball downs BEA ahead of Marshall matchup
Tuesday night, the St. Peter girls basketball team returned to action after the thrilling overtime victory against Delano Saturday. The Saints faced the Blue Earth Area Buccaneers and wasted little time putting their stamp on the game, cruising to a 65-33 victory ahead of another critical matchup. Rhyan Holmgren led the Saints in scoring with 18 points while adding seven boards and four assists while Annika Southworth scored 14 points to go along with six rebounds. Maddie Kamm finished with nine points, seven rebounds and five assists while Kylie Southworth scored 10 points with three boards. St. Peter will travel to Marshall Friday, Feb. 2, to face off against the Big South West leading Tigers. Marshall has a record of 15-3 (6-0 BSW) on the season compared to the Saints record of 17-1 (6-0 BSE).
