Randy Tolliver of Reynolds County had a busy day last Tuesday in Jefferson City. He spoke to members of the legislature about bills that are important to veterans. Tolliver is the representative for V.F.W. District 8. Tolliver tells us about one of the important individuals he visited with that day.

State representative Chris Dinkins of Lesterville in an interview conducted earlier today provided some updates on main topics covered in the House of Representatives earlier in the week. One of those subjects that was mentioned was with regards to a bill Representative Dinkins is hoping to have accepted by the House. The bill, should it become a law, will consist of foods not including sales taxes. Representative Dinkins goes into further detail.

REYNOLDS COUNTY, Mo. — A food pantry in southern Missouri got a hefty surprise on Tuesday just in time to feed needy families during the holidays. Missouri Department of Conservation agent Kaleb Neece delivered 347 pounds of venison donated by the county's deer hunters to the Reynolds County Food Bank, according to a post from the department. The donations were made through the department's Share the Harvest program which allows hunters to donate their surplus meat.

It seems like Almost Yesterday that the city of Ironton, Missouri installed a series of historical markers to identify Civil War sites in the community. Of all the important historic sites in the Arcadia Valley, one that has great significance is where Ulysses S. Grant, on August 8, 1861, received notice of his promotion to the rank of brigadier general.

I am a parent who has been personally affected by the actions of the Reynolds/Iron County Children's Division. They took my son from me and are now moving towards adoption without providing me with a fair chance to prove my capability as a parent. This is not just about one case, but about numerous instances where families have been torn apart due to coercion, manipulation, kidnapping and unethical behaviors by this division. The pain of losing your child under questionable circumstances is unbearable and it is time that we demand transparency and accountability from those in power. We need an independent investigation into their practices to ensure that they are acting in the best interests of children and families. According to data from the U.S Department of Health & Human Services, as many as 20% of children placed in foster care should not have been removed from their homes in the first place (U.S Department of Health & Human Services). This statistic raises serious concerns about potential misconduct within child protective services across the country, including our own Reynolds/Iron County Children's Division. We cannot stand by while families are being unjustly separated. It is time for us to take action against these injustices. Please sign this petition demanding an investigation into Reynolds/Iron County Children's Division for unethical practices.
